With the explosion of social network sites, it's easy to lose track of your own accounts. So imagine people who wants to follow you on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn... where are you on those sites? Don't panic!!! Stalker is here to help you! Just enter your username for all the social network sites you're on, and Stalker will take care of the rest. It shows an icon with a link to all your accounts.
You can display your social network icons anywhere on your site : in a module position, directly in an article, on your Community Builder profile page or on your JomSocial page !
Stalker and all its modules and plugins was originaly developed by Nick Texidor.

There is 5 extensions available. A component, a module, a content plugin, a Community Builder plugin and a JomSocial plugin.
Don't panic! It's easy to understand and configure!
The easiest way to do that is to only install the module (mod_stalker). Edit the parameters (Extensions -> Module Manager) and put your user ID for the social networks you want.
The more flexible solution is the component. Install the module (mod_stalker) and the component (com_stalker).
In the module parameters (Extensions -> Module Manager), change "Use database" to yes.
In the component (Components -> Stalker), create a new link ("New" icon). Select a social network, enter your identifier, select an icon, change published to Yes and save.
In the component (Components -> Stalker), click on Stalker Groups, add a new group ("New" icon), enter the name and save.
Remember the ID of that group (look the "ID" column) you will need it for the module.
Click on My Social Links and click on the site you want to add to the group you just created. Select the group and save.
In the module parameters (Extensions -> Module Manager), enter the ID of the group you want to display. You can create different module to display different group.
In the component (Components -> Stalker), click on Social Networks, add a new site ("New" icon), enter the name, the URL and save. In the URL, use #id# to specify the location of the identifier (username).
Return to My Social Links and add a new link. You will be able to select your new social network. If you want to use a custom icon, read the next paragraph.
If you want to use a custom icon, you can add it to the folder media/stalker/icons/default or any other iconset directory. You will need to use a FTP software or any other method you prefer to upload your files. To add a new iconset, just create a new directory.
Then you need to use the content plugin. It works just like any other Joomla content plugin. Here is the syntax for the code you need to put in your article. It will be replaced by the Staker icons:
Every link not in a group :
{stalker}
To display a group of icon (group id) :
{stalker group=1}
Set the size (any number of pixel) :
{stalker size=64}
Text only :
{stalker style=text}
List or List aligned on the right :
{stalker style=list}
{stalker style=list align=right}
To select an icon set :
{stalker imageset=default}
{stalker imageset=black}
{stalker imageset=bottletop}
{stalker imageset=round}
{stalker imageset=white}

The Stalker Module is used on this site to display the Twitter and Google icon on the bottom of the page. You can test theComunity Builder plugin on your profile page.
